Has anybody ever noticed how many fast slant cars have crashed?

Truthfully not as many as I have seen V8 cars. In fact locally there have been 2 deaths in the last few years in the 10.5" class and I can not count how many wrecks I have heard about in that class...Even a few dragsters which are suppose to be safer and have more stability.

It sucks to hear about Dale's old car. Was a really great platform for a bracket/slant six car.

Anything under 100 inches can be ill handling, even with top chassis tuning skills. Bob Glidden and everyone else that ran the compacts in Pro Stock back in the day even stretched the wheelbases on their rides to make them tamer.

Cox car was not a short wheelbase. Drake's was a mechanical issue. IIRC, Charles was a mechanical issue.

In those cases wheelbase was not the culprit.

Be interesting to know what really happened to Dale's car.

It was wrecked and repaired, and had a small block put in it. I have not heard anything else about it in the last few years.

The blower motor is alive and well in a Midwest car.

Well I have been looking, but I can't find where Judy Lilly ever drove a Arrow. She was in an Charger-024 Pro Stock car, but I don't see an Arrow. Anyone?
