I picked up a set of NGK BCPR6ES-11.
I'll see how these run and change the numbers as needed until I find the best heat range.

I don't recall where I read about the extended tip plugs for the slant, but I seem to recall that it was recommended for basically stock engines. I chose the NGK 6779 (BCPR6ES-11) as a starting point, plenty of room to move up or down the heat range. The -11 just comes pre-gapped at .043 and the BC is just a 5/8 hex to fit a special socket I picked up.

Quite a difference in these two plugs (tip wise).
Yes, I will be removing the gasket.....

As I was recently told by people on here much smarter than me, the larger gap doesn't help the peformance at all and may hurt. Just passing it along.

Thanks Rick, I set my plug gap at .040" . I actually missed the part number on the list that is set for that. If I get a -10, they come pre gapped to .040". Not that I trust what comes in the box anyway.
Sometimes I just create more work for myself without thinking (a gross understatement).

UPDATE: Apparently, NGK does not make this plug in a -10, so looks like I just have to re-gap the -11's

BCPR6ES-11.
I'll have to look at work but I think they are used in some new mowers? If that is the case you could pick them up at your local RC engines shop! :D Or at leas I can. :D :D
