I have the small drill type chuckable impact 20v DeWalt, and the big 1/2' drive 20v DeWalt. The big'n is rated at 300 lb/ft and zips wheels on/off with ease. The smaller one I have is only rated to 75 lb/ft and works great for small stuff, just have to be careful not to strip philips head screws with it.

I wouldn't get nearly as much done as I do without them.

I have the small 20V one that takes the adapter to hold a socket. It is considered more of a screw gun I believe.
After doing some more research, the one I was looking at (fixed 3/8" drive) has almost exactly the same advertised torque as yours with the quick-change fittings (150 ft-lbs/1800 in-lbs). So it's probably the same motor.

I have an old DeWalt 18V impact driver of the small quick-change style, which was advertised as ~1100 in-lbs (90ish ft-lbs), so I decided to test it and see if it could break a lug nut loose. The Race Dart lugs were all torqued to 95 ft-lbs about two weeks prior, and my 18V driver was barely able to get one off, after about 10 seconds of hammering. I assume the same lugs would not budge after several months of rain and corrosion.

The small 20V driver has about 50% more torque and should fare better, but since I already have one in this "weight class" I decided to strike that one from my wish list and go with the "mid-range" 1/2" drive 20V impact wrench rated at 330 ft-lbs. The detent pin version with a 5 Ah battery and charger is also on sale on Home Depot right now.

I have the 20V DeWalt drill and small driver. The 1/2” 330 ft lb impact is the one I’m leaning toward as well.

Angie and I went to Home Depot to look at the 330 ft lb version. We wound up walking out with the bigger high torque version. The mid range (330 ft lb) was only for sale by itself with no battery or charger. The larger one was just $50 more with the battery, charger and carrying bag.

I'll report back on how many lug studs I twist off...

Good point THOR! I have to remind myself of that every once in awhile when I'm fiddling on the early A body schtuff. It don't always work & I do wind up cussin' at lug nuts from time to time... This sucker'll just rip 'em right off if'n I ain't careful...
