I agree with Patrick I like to upgrade. I cut a hole in the dash with my trusty dremmel and modernised my ride.

gotta find a use for all those am radios I have sitting around...Dave
I could use a stock radio for a '64 Valiant/Barracuda if you have one.

Hey 70valiant,

Under your avatar it says Southeastern, PA. Whereabouts? I don't remember seeing any '70 Valiants on the road around here. Or are you the one I've seen at the Willow Grove Barnes & Noble a year or two agao with dual exhaust?

Nice install, by the way.

I'm a little north west of willow grove. between montgomeryvlle and quakertown. off of the 309. No dual exhaust on my car hopefully will get the headders on soon. they are split headders with a Y-pipe down to single.
Thanks I went slow and made a nice hole and slid it in. It isn't a very good head unit though it plays cd's ok but barely gets Philly stations.
If you look closely you can see a few holes in the dash. the first owner of the car was the fire cheif in Dublin PA. he drilled 11 holes to mount his radio and mike, and scanner and other stuff. I gotta figure out how to fill all of them.

filling those holes is easy!
a piece of fiberglass glued on with resin from the rear and fill up the hole with some more fiberglassputty, sand paint and voila!

Thin sheets of steel, tack weld to hold in place, then weld all around so it's solid, grind down welds til near flush with factory metal, sand til flush, bead blast, prime, paint; literally new, uncut dash

This is assuming you can take it out and do the work :P

Chuck,
Are you looking for one that works, or just for looks? I think the AM radio is still in the '76 Duster I bought for parts, but I don't know the condition of the radio.

Jerry

Chuck, have a operable one, orginal to the gt (is even date coded). If it works for you, can have for the cost of shipping also have one from a 66 Dart that I blew the speakers out of 20 years ago and radio has not be turned on since. This one differs in control placement and features square buttons as opposed to the 63 which are round, otherwise same unit...Dave

I need one for the '64 'Cuda (with bezel) that works. There is currently an aftermarket unit installed that does not work.

Do you also have the bezel for it (either one)?
