This is all relative to a point. Is this your first Dodge truck of this era? Do you have anything to compare to? A soft ride to some may be a harsh ride to others. But yeah to a point of being too bouncey even if this is your first one or only one what shocks did you get? Monroe for instance markets at least 3 different grades of shocks for these trucks and to install set a, drive it, come back and put on set B and go for a drive, then come back and try set C, there will be a difference in how a given vehicle will ride. There isa chance that you got a defective set too. I've had kyb shocks on a Dakota, I took them off and threw them away within 2 weeks as I didn't like them. The blue "oe equivalent" entry level Monroe ones likewise are a waste. I pot rancho ones on my 2012 and they seem alright in the front but the back ones are crappy. All are same grade, (rancho 5000 if I remember correctly) and guess what rancho is made by Monroe. I'm probably going to look and see if I can find some Gabriel ultras like I told you about for my '12 (Dodge ram 1500 reg cab long bed) to replace the rancho's. |
