I've put up to 110 psi in mine, which they're rated for, but I almost never use more than 80 for loads. Lou |

I have used them too, without problems. Most of the problems are people who jack there cars up to use BIG WIDE tires and rims. They use so much pressure they basically remove any "give" from the suspension. Something has to give, and that is usually the shock mounts. |

my duster has air shocks, and has for a long time without problems. I have mine adjusted up just for asthetics. The rear of my car is jacked up as high as you could ever want it with only 40 or so lbs of pressure tops!!! I also had a problem (as was the original question) with slack in my air lines. The shocks were installed by a PO and coming home from the chryslers at carlisle show my air lines came in contact with hot exhasut pipes while i was crossing a railroad track. BOOM! and we were low ridin it the rest of the way home. When I got back to the garage I just loosened the nut on the fitting, removed the old line from the fitting, cut the remaining line to length and placed it in the fitting. It has held beautifully for more than half a year now. |
