For a short time back around 2006 Seymour had started recording something like this, but it was short lived.

I would like to see that comparison as well... I'll do some homework and figure out how to go through and calculate it from the records I have...
I pretty much have the "Performance Index" worked out for everyone beginning in 2002 through 2012. I'll post a "teaser" in the Race Results section for those interested.
It took a little longer than I anticipated, but I went through and figured out everyone's Performance Index since 1999. :shock:

I went back through again and adjusted those first three years to remove attendance points from the career totals for a comparison ONLY.

Here's the new-new math for the top 60 WITHOUT attendance points:

I also removed the extra 5 points for setting records in 2012 that affects 4 racers.

I like CJ's suggestion that attendance points be used for the Championship each year (It's great for tie breakers and incentive to compete) and having only round win points count for career totals.

Another topic for discussion at the banquet... We're starting the list early this year! :lol:

I really dont care about the points thing but dont understand why you deduct points that you got for setting a record.Those are the hardest points to get.MY OPINION.Mark

This is just a comparison based on comments that changing the attendance points to 5 instead of 1 will skew things.

The first three years you got 10 points for showing up, another 10 points for racing in the first round (win or lose), and THEN 10 points for each round won after that. :shock:

This is just to boil it down to the basics of winning races (along with the Performance Index thread I posted).

The "official" career points thread still counts all of your attendance and record winning points. :wink:

I'm just adding more flavor for those with varied tastes...

(It's kinda cool that the leader, Ron Hamby, has 1320 :D )
