I have done a 0.080"/0.180" cut (manifold/plug sides), and up to 0.110"/0.210" on one head. No bolt or washer funny business of any kind. The angles are very slight. One was a 68-74 head and one was a 64 head. These have been on and off motors many times with no problems. Head chamber ranges from 30-40 cc's depending on which mill and which valves/seats you use. Don't make anything more complicated than it needs to be is my motto.

Just did the 110 cut on mine. He did it for $100. I think at the 3 thousandths it removes per pass, it took the better part of 8 hours.

Milling machine. He showed it to me before the work began. He said you could take more than that off per pass--- but it was risky to the bits in the machine. He stated that he would rather do a set of a set of v8 heads in an hour or so for $50 :lol:
