Very impressive and inspiring, Charlie! I wonder if there is anyone else in that situation. I think Rodney, but that's probably it. He was at the original races in 1997, IIRC. Maybe Lukus too, but I think he skipped some years in there and I'm not sure when he first competed at a Slant 6 race. I started in May/June 2002 at Wilkesboro and haven't missed a year yet. I have been at it since 2004. - Really got Serious around 2009. You are sure a Stalwart in the Racing series Charllie, Along with the Bruners, Hargis' Covalts, Hamby's Pederson, Lou. I am sure I am missing some. - Those names come to mind in the long Haul running of the series to date. Lots of great folks there , Looking forward to seeing many of you again this weekend. Greg |

I hope to be there with Adam as close to 4:00 as possible. We will see… I got the new Waterman fuel pump installed in the Challenger today. I had a nice day with Joe today. He swapped the brake drums on ToadRacer and put a vent line on the 61 Valiant fuel cell. He also bled the brakes on the 61. If anyone wants to take the 61 from Radcliff to London you are welcome to. No promises on its worthiness as of yet, but there it is. |

My first official Slant 6 race was Bristol 2002 or 2003 with the first GodsRods Duster. I have missed many years, having been stationed overseas 2004-2010 and 2014-2017. I’m still just a Poser. |

I still have more to do. If everything goes as I hope, I will leave Florida, about 6:00am Thur. Stop over night in north Ga, or south Tn. Back on the road early Fri morning. Arrive at the track, sometime Fri afternoon. |
