Well I am leaving Friday Morning - I be there by 12:00 - Forecast looks questionable at best - - Oh well - 30% chance isn't all that bad.

Sad to say but I am still recovering from going under the knife about 2 weeks ago. I'm getting better, but a weekend trip is more than I could take, and 3 hours of seat time in a car would be pure pain, I feel ill just driving to work. Need to rest up so I can be ready for home field advantage next month.

Thanks to Greg and Brian for carrying the torch from Pittsburgh this year and good luck to all. Hope to have a better outlook for next year.

Post subject:  Race Results for the Massive 3-2 car field
Well The weather was iffy at best - Typical columbus in may A bit of sun rain and wind.

There were 3 cars fro friday and Saturday.

1. Nick Bowman 70 Duster - Export PA

2. Greg Ondayko 69 Dart Swinger - IRWIN PA

3. Seymour Pederson 61-2 Valiant St. Louis Park MN



Well we got caught in a rain storm sat evening@ 7ish and the classic events people didnt even get to any of the other classes that they usually run off on sat evening either.

So Slant Eliminator Was at 3:00 Sunday - Seymour chose to go home early.

We had Drawn a "ladder" for our original 3 car field out of a hat - Originally I had a bye and seymour and Nick Were supposed to pair off.

Come sunday with just 2 cars Nick and I went -

All competion runs for the entire Weekend were 1/8th Mile due to the Massive Water events duirng the week prior.

Nick - Dial 12.26
R/T .048
1/8 12.247@54.26 Takes the win

Greg - Dial 9.49
R/T .144
1/8 9.446@73.68

We Both broke out and Nick was by less. And With a better Light!
Congrats Nick

Nick Lives Closer To Pittsburgh Raceway Than I do - So he will Be a contender at that race too.


It's too bad seymour Drove all that way only to see a 3 car field and to not race himself.

Oh well I would like to see more slants but That's the way it goes - Kind of a shame for a race that just a few years ago had 12-15 cars.

Ya i cant believe there was only 3 cars, i was so dissapointed in that, no woner they dont really worry about us at the CC events, we need to get a car count. Congrats to all there, GJ Greg nice race man, ill see you all at PITTSBURGH Next month!!! maybe ill have a 2bbl on there by then, once i get a mounting bracket and all the linkage

Nick, If you put a post up on the parts wanted section for that linkage and all I am sure Someone will come oup with one for you. also Check Ebay.

Really too bad for Seymour, especially his mood about us Eastern folks.

I'll still be racing myself... Hope to see a bunch at Pittsburgh and N. Wilkesboro!!
