Post subject:  Oil Pick-up

I have a copy of the Direct Connection Performance book. There is reference to a swinging oil pickup PN#'s 2406678 & 2406679. No dice on finding NOS on this yet. There is also reference to a Milodon pickup. Does anyone have the PN for this pickup? Called Milodon this morning and they were much less than helpful.

Thanks

Gilly

Some suppliers seem to just "glaze-over" when you ask about SL6 stuff.
Call them back and ask about a set-up for a Mopar Hemi or 440.
Both have the external oil pump and the same size thread (3/8 npt) in the block.
The Mopar big block system can be retrofitted into a SL6.
Let us know what you come-up with.

Post subject:  Got one this weekend

Hi Gilly,

I was at a swap meet in Des Moines yesterday and scored a nice Milodon swinging pickup for $50.

Do you wish to know anything about it? I don't think it has a number, but it does have "Milodon" on it. Their catalog does list the swinging pickup as part of their external oiling system for the BB motors, but I don't know if they sell just the pickup separately.

Let me know if I can help.

Good score, can you snap some PICs for us, better yet, give us a "step-by-step" on how the install goes.

I always wonder how some companies manage to sell any of their products, seems like a "research project" just to get info. on what they have!
Thanks for the up-date.
