Comrades:

I recently purchased this fine truck from a man in the Soap Lake, WA area. It was used by the Navy to run around their nuclear facility in Idaho. 80,000 miles on the meter, truck runs fine and the rust is not as bad as it looks.

I live in Ballard, just north of Seattle, WA. The truck will be going to an outdoor storage facility in Ephrata, WA this weekend. My goal is restoration, then drive it. My time frame is open, it may take me years to finish it.

First order of business is getting the windshield replaced - the law won't let me run around with a bash in it like that for long.

The brakes were completely gone through recently. They might benefit from a 'proper' bleeding, but almost every brake component is brand new.

If you've got recommendations on shops in Eastern Washington, let me know, I'll use 'em. Garage space in Seattle is very expensive, if you know of something, either here or in E WA, drop me a line.

Oh, the name? This truck sparked some controversy at our house. I finally told my wife that it's a 'Guy Thing' and she wouldn't understand. She seems happy with that explanation, as long as she doesn't have to look at the truck in the driveway.

Nice score! You even got a Super Six. That truck is a great example of a simple, reliable, plain work truck. Personally, I would be tempted to just fix the small things and drive it as is. I like cars with character.
