I talked with Danny Dunn today and he would like to schedule our Wilkesboro Slant 6 race on July 11th. to run the the Gassers. I don't know if we can decide before the banquet but he is up against a deadline right now for his banquet and publications. Lou and Slant 6 community your thoughts will be appreciated. Any chance the PA folks would come to NW anyway, Greg? I think Paul is the only one who's made it and he wouldn't go to Carlisle, I bet. Just trying to be realistic here... I am fine with that date personally. What is Danny's deadline? Lou |

Danny implied he is at his deadline this week. I also Talked with our long time sponser Tim Harrold today and he expressed his enterest to continue to back this race in 2009 if at all possible. Thanks Ron |

Yes I really wanted to make it last year, Then gas went from 2.89 to 4.01 and I just couldn't afford it. If gas stays near where it is I am serisouly going to try to make it.  I am not planning to pull to columbus this year so i'll be looking for other races to do anyway. I have pulled to bristol and google says it is not much further than that for me. But there are a lot of factors involved in the scheduling so dont try accommodate just me; find a date that works best for everyone. Greg |

I like going the WRP, but I never know if I can make it, untill just before the race. So just get it scheduled, and I will try to make it. Make sure Danny and Tim know we apprieciate their help with this meet. |

I say go ahead and set it. Our first race date for 2009! It will be hard to accomodate everyone, but I'm sure we'll have a good showing. Slant 6 racing is 1000 times better than a car show of any size, so I hope Greg can join us! Huge thanks to both Danny and Tim for their efforts and support. These guys have really done the deeds for us for many years! I predict a 50 pt race this year... Best, Lou |
