I'm still enjoying my Slanted 41 Chevy. I built it in 1999 with a lot of help from my friend, Ed. It's got a 225, Purple Shaft Cam, little Holley 4 barrel, Clifford intake and Jet Hot coated headers, a 904, 8 3/4, original front suspension with disc brake conversion, Locar shifter, Rod Tech dash with VDO guages, LeCarra steering wheel, and Ron Frances wires. It's been nosed and decked, and has PPG paint, 40 Ford bumpers, a Ford Granada electric split bench front seat, faux leather interior (including headliner), and L.E.D. tail lights. I also have a 79 step side Dodge Pick Up with a 225, 4 speed, and posi trac rear. I think it may have originally been an Air Force or Forest Service truck. I've been a member of the NSRA and the Counts of the Cobblestone Car Club, Rapid City for ten years. We enjoy our annual indoor Counts Car Show at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center (March 5-7, 2010), Black Hills Overdrive Rally (June 10-13, 2010), and the Counts annual Black Hills Rod Run which is always the first week end after the 4th of July. I've also had Slanted 41 at the NSRAs Street Rod Nationals in Pueblo and Louiville, as well as MSRAs Back to the Fifties in St Paul. Any body else out there with a slanted street rod?....Tom[imhttp://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0df27b3127ccef959cc27205600000030O00AbuGjdk1ZsWYPbz4S/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/g][img]http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0df27b3127ccef959cc27205600000030O00AbuGjdk1ZsWYPbz4S/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/][/img]

We met a guy at the Kearney, NE Slant 6 race last year with a '41 or so Plymouth coupe with Slant. Guy was from Omaha or near there.

Come on down to the race this year. Date is pending - check "Events" section.

I am slowly collecting parts to build a Ford pick up. Plans are: custom frame , nice bit of channeling , bobbed bed (again custom) , fenderless , hoodless roadster style front end. Slant for power! Should be on the road sometime in the next hundred years! Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket.
