What would be the best way to lift my slant using an engine hoist? Thanks. |

I got an engine load leveler from Summit and it works great. It allows you to tilt the engine to any angle and it makes it a piece of cake to pull or install an engine/tranny combo all by yourself. I attached the chains to the two holes in the top of the head, one toward the front and one toward the rear. Ron |

I used one of these for the first time a couple of weeks ago when helping a friend pull his 383 V8 out of his 61 Chrysler. As we lifted, we adjusted the engine angle using his air gun. What an easy way to pull an engine in minutes! |

Hi, There are a couple holes in the top of the head that I've used before with good success. I believe they are 3/8-16 UNC. The complete engine w/o trans balances nicely with a chain bolted on these two holes and the hook towards the front of the loop. mark |
