I need some part numbers for a Slant 6 head with stock valves 1.60/1.30 valves. Anyone done this conversion? The guy at the machine shop doesnt wanna do the work so I guess I hav to.I need bowtie valve numbers, retainer numbers, keepers, seals and springs. Any help would be appreciated..

The valve sizes you have listed are smaller than stock Slant valves (1.62/1.36). What are you trying to do? :?: If you want SB Chev valves, just order 1.72/1.50 valves from Summit for any (60s for example) 283 or 307 or 350. I got mine from JC Whitney and all it said in the catalog was the head sizes. They are about 0.1" longer than stock Slant valves and the stems are 11/32".

Hope this helps,

That's what I did, too. I used Manley SS Chevy valves, and cut them down to 1.75(int), and left the exh's alone.

Cox Brothers have stainless valves in stock. The extended length lou spoke about will help with high lift cams. We also offer 11/32 bronze guides, teflon seals, springs, retainers, keepers, and anything else you will need to do the conversion. We offer the valves in many head diameters.
