What are you racers doing with the heater hose outlet/inlet on the water pump when you go heater delete? Anyone using caps? If so what are you using? |

I tap the hole and install a pipe plug. (upper pump in the photo below) Remove the hose bib from the head and put a pipe plug in that also. Keep the by-pass hose functional. DD

Off-hand... 1/4 NPT for the water pump bib. I use a tapered grinding burr to give the hole a little cone shape before tapping. Be careful with the die cast aluminum pumps, it is easy to crack / split the bib. (try your tapping process on a junk pump first, to get a good "feel" for it) DD |
