When we were at the nostalgia race there was an anglia there(call Buzzin Half Dozen...imagine that) that was running a ford inline six. I know that there are a few clubs around that race inline six's. I thought that we might be able to set-up a race somewhere (like wilksboro last year) that is not in conjuction with a Mopar show and have a bracket race against the ford club? Match up a Mopar against a ford until none are left( Ford that is). Anybody know someone involved with one of these clubs that could see if they might be interested. Just a thought....promoted both /6 racing and their club as well! Tom |

It's a good idea Tom, We need to see where these folks are planning to race this year and see if we can do something like you suggest. The place to start is their web sites: http://www.inliners.org www.fordsix.com I am working on posting our 2003 SL6 Points Racing schedule so once that is "up" we can go over to the other "camps" and pull some chains. Sounds good to me. If the Ford inliners are half as cool and innovative as the Slanters, we sould be able to have fun racing and learn some tricks in the process. Lou |

Good idea Tom. Charlie S. and I parked with the Inliners Int. at the Turkey Rod Run. There were two drag cars present. One was a '64 Chevy II that had three 4 barrel Holleys. Both Charlie and I didn't know what was up there. The other was a '68 Camaro that was real nice, as finely detailed as your dad's car. I can only remember his first name was Mike out of the Miami area. He had been as fast as 11.80s and still had saftey glass with roll up windows in the car, not a real light car. His said the Inliners race at some of their meets. Both Charlie and I joined. $24 a year, comes with 6 issues of 'Twelve Port News'. Maybe it's time to lay it on 'em. Car Names: there was a guy that had a shop near mine that ran a '67 Camaro with a 250 six. He named it "Mean Buzzin' Half Dozen". About a year after that he went with a V-8. Cecil |

I'm up for it. Inliners International, mostly is Chevy and GMC oriented. However, they are still a good group of people |

That would be cool pairing up different manufacturers sixes! But what would be even cooler would be ANY six cylinder participants at my local strip (Atco Raceway in Atco, New Jersey) I have been hanging there often for the last two years and have seen zip, zero, nada inline six cyl cars there. Boy, I hope I don't get laughed at this upcoming season when I show up with my 63 Dart GT. But I'm sure I will suprise many because this project has had a great deal of help from all of you! 63GT |

Jack (mustangsix) from fordsix.com shows up here once in a while and he mentioned that other members from his board visit here also (for performance tips). Maybe he will see this and chime in. I can also drop him an e-mail. |
