Hi Gang,

I'm going to do my disc brake conversion this weekend (66 Dart). I need to verify where the adjustable proportioning valve goes. I have a dual pot master cylinder...and the adjustable proportioning valve goes in the REAR brake line AFTER the factory proportioning valve, right?

Also, will I run into any trouble using a power brake booster in my brake setup where I have manual disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear?

You are correct on the prop valve location. I've seen people put them between the MC and the factory prop valve, but I've always done it the other way and I know that works well.

If you have an Abody, I don't think there's any reason to have power brakes, especially with the adj prop valve to balance things (reduced pedal pressure). If you want it, I think everything should be fine.

My '65, brakes nice and straight without a adjustable valve. I used all stock parts. A master cylinder from a '80 Volare with manual disk brakes, front rotors and calibers from a '75 Dart, rear brakes from a '75 Dart, proportioning valve from a '73 Dart. The '73 valve was recommeded from somebody who had done the conversion several times, as being the "best" one to use. He had tried several differant ones, including 1/2 ton PU.
