good article, I still haven't managed to get the triangle washer on the last bolt(under the choke stove) It really irritates me as I don't even use the choke stove anymore. :) Manul choke lever for me... toomuch fiddle time with the other one. I tried the phillips method but couldn't get it too work as I couldn't get a second screwdrive in the space. I'l try the fishin line one, on Tuesday.

I use a long screwdriver with a 3/16 shaft to position the washer and then use a 1/8" screwdriver to slide it on.

I just went from a one bbl to a 2 bbl this past weekend. Wow what a difference it makes. The way I got the bottom washer on under the choke stove was like this: I cleand off a small spot on the triangle washer, put a small drop of super glue on the clean spot, line up and put on the nut, let dry, and put it in the socket. Worked like a charm. Try that.

i use one of those little telescoping magnets hardware stores sell for like 3 bucks. just stick it on one side of the washer and guide it onthe stud (keep away from manifold runners!) they also work well for picking up dropped hardware (see murphy's law! )

I use the telescoping magnet method as well..but i do (well, used to....headers make things lots easier :D ) it from the top. I.E. Guide the washer on from between the manifold runners which leaves the side open to get a ratchet w/ extension and wobbly in there.

oh yeah--the magnet makes picking up the dropped washers easy too
