Need someone to transport one of my race cars from Ocala, florida to Knoxville Tn, and drive the car in the slant six race Aug 3-4, 2012. My driver can't make the race. |

Either the 66 Cuda or the 66 Valiant. Both should be able to run low 8's or high 7's in the 1/8. This is a free "loaner" deal. Car is free to use, driver to pay their own expenses |

do you get advertisement money or something? why take the chance of just loaning your car out?

Why not loan it out? I used to let other people drive my car. It's kinda fun watching someone else play. |

Kept two of the cars at the track, and hauled the other two, one on the back of a truck, and the other on a trailer. Saturday was NHRA "Class" racing, and Sunday was brackets. Wed TnT. |

Damm Charlie it is too far for the Twiggie from the Bees to race it for you. Richard |

You know, I'd pay 1/2 the airfare for you Richard! Getcha there, and then you can decide if you want to come back. I'll bet your chomping at the bit to see if you can keep that bucket of yours out of the nines with all your computereze cyber-building! (Fopar is techno. He's the biggest back yard engineering geek I've ever met. He was swapping out chips on his mobo last time I was there. Don't believe a word he says! He can kick most computer geeks in the kidneys when it comes to making hot computers!) ((MIke helps a bit, but he went to skool and such!)) CJ |

Hey Charlie, Steven is still bringing your Valiant so you're good to go for a driver now, right? |

Quote: Hey Charlie,
Yep, we're looking pretty good. I will be bringing the Cuda, Steve will tow the Valiant, and Steven will race the Valiant. Going to see if he can get a "C" nitrous record, and I am going for the "D" nitrous record. If I have time, I might put 4.56's in the Cuda, but I have a lot of customer work.Steven is still bringing your Valiant so you're good to go for a driver now, right? We will be leaving Thur morning, about 5 am, and drive straight through. Should get there Thur evening. Gary Brunner, has a place for us to stay, for the 3 nites. Being able to save on 3-4 nites of motel, is what made it doable. Slant Six people are great. Got the 4.89 gears in the Valiant. Still need to install the driveshaft. The rear had the big yoke, so had to get an adapter U-joint. Then realized I also needed the Straps for the big joint. Got them, today. The new driveshaft is a larger diameter, then the old one, and is rubbing on one of the bolts for the driveshaft loop, so need to pull that out, remove the bolt, and weld it, instead. Hopefulley, have it all done, tomorrow. Then get the new slicks mounted up for the Barracuda, and prep the car. I have spent more time and money getting the cars ready for this race, then I have put into the cars the last 3 years combined. |

I think we'll be bunkin' together. I know what you mean about time & money! I've been desperately playing "catch up" for being overseas for so long the last two years... |
