Anybody out there ever try running a Quadrajet on a 225?

I've been hanging around here for about a year and haven't heard of anyone running one. I'm assuming that you have one "in hand". If it were me, I'd take it with me to a swap meet and see if I could pick up a 390 Holly or 500 Carter in trade. While this thing may be OK on the Primaries, I don't think you'll be too happy when the secondaries open up.

Just my $0.02

The 4 barrel Q-Jet may be too big for a slant, but what about the 2 barrel Q-Jet? If the fuel distrubution is OK with one, the small primary might give a good mpg return while the huge secondary will give the power most slanters would like.
Mopar did use Q-Jets on some 80s 360 V-8s.

They used ThermoQuads on 318s, along with 4V Q-Jets. You can slow the secondaries opening. If I had something to try it on, I'd give it a try.
They also had an aftermarket 800cfm TQ with electric choke which would be more convenient to adapt.

The q-jet was used on the Pontiac 230/250 OHC engines and the Buick 231/252 V6s. The secondaries were pined so they wouldn't open all the way. They were rated at around 650 cfm. The Mercedes l6 used a spreadbore solex 4bbl before it went to EFI. All of these engines had the secondaries facing the engine block. Clifford at one time, offered a spreadbore adapter for their manifolds. There is no reason a q-jet won't work on a \6. The primaries are relatively small, and the secondaries are vacuum controlled so they won't open up, unless there is a demand.
