I was wanting to install a autometer temp guage with a thermal couple and was wondering where or if any members have Installed one in there slant pics would be every helpful Thanks. Org [/quote] |

I will look for pics if I have any, I drilled and tapped the head at the thermostat area to install the probe. |

I usually install the fitting in the thermostat cover. Off-set it to the outlet side to avoid contact with the "peak" of the thermostat, under the cover. DD ![]()

Doc did you just drill and tap the thermostat housing or did you have to brazen it I like the idea it seems simple enuff Thanks any more options Aaron |

I installed one on my race engine using the old heater hose nipple on the head. I removed the heater hose nipple and installed the adapter to the thermocouple that leads to the mechanical gauge. Here are a few shots - Scroll Down to Post Named 3-30-10 Engine in and Runing! If you still use the heater on your car a pipe T could work for this.. Greg |

Greg that's a great idea thanks I already have a couple tees and some ball valves for my heater hoses too the water inlet on my Clifford intake I don't no why I didn't think about it Thanks everybody Aaron |
