I have been thinking about mounting my 550cfm carter sideways to my 61" three speed lancer stw . My question is that at should i put the primaries or secondaries close to engine block? I thought that i should put the secondaries closer ,becose then the primaries could get that better "ram" effect and make good torque at low engine speeds and the secondaries would be closer and make good power at high engine speeds. Am i right?

Thanks for answers!

Most of the racers put the secondaries closer to the block, and I do the same on my motors. I have not tried the other way, but a couple of people who did said it didn't work quite as well.
