Do any of you know where I can get a torque strap, or solid steel engine mounts?

I can find A body straps, but all they say is small block, so I'm thinking they'll only fit for the small V8s.

Here's the link to the page with the small block torque straps: http://www.engine-swaps.com/frames/fram ... strap.html

With a Slant, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like solid motor mounts on the street. I have a really nice torque limiter on my '66 that Barry Harrison made. I bought it at a swap meet at Clay City. One bracket bolts to the water pump mounting bolts and the other mounts to the frame. It has an adjustable link to tie them together.

That's kind of what I'm lookin for. I certainly don't need it yet, but the engine mounts in there now are shot, which got me thinking of the solid mounts, and someone mentioned stock mounts with a torque strap/limiter.

How bad are solid mounts as far as vibration and affecting ride comfort?

I've got one of the Schumacher torque straps on my '67 360 Cuda, installs just like advertised and works great.
It kind of depends on how much you can tolerate. I would suggest just making the left mount solid, then you might not even need a torque strap. Unless you don't want to keep all your teeth, I would definitely not replace all three with solid mounts.
