Now im broke again. What exhaust pipe should i run? I have the 6 into 1 MP header with a 2 1/2" pipe now. I want dual exhaust dumping in front of the rear wheel wells. The clifford guy was trying to sell me a bunch of stuff. I asked him about the hyper pak and he said "our manifold works better than that" im like....then why did you reproduce it and add it to your line. He kept on trying to sell me an $1100 cylinder head, Webers, and some other stuff, guess business is down for em. Anyways so thats my plan right now, look like real good headers, ceramic coated, thick flange, even gave me the reducers with a flange which im going to have welded. And just as an added boost for all you guys out there. I installed the MSD 6a about 3 weeks ago.....I LOVE IT! Before i'd be lucky to even hit 90, i have 3.23s and a 8.5:1 motor rebuilt front to back....i got her up to 110 on 87 octane and still pulled in 20mpg driving from LA to Temecula. any thoughts feedback, comments are welcome pete |

I plan on getting a set of Dutra Duals and running 2.25" dual exhaust with an H-pipe behind the tranny (helps retain low end torque and supposedly reduces resonation at highway speeds) and 18" long Cherry Bombs. Good to hear you liked the 6A. I've been debating between that and a Stackerfor a while now. Do you use the normal Mopar electronic ignition or do you have other aftermarket parts in your ignition as well? |

I have the clifford dual pipes on my truck, and the MSD 6A as well (I love mine too If you havent already, open up your plug gap a little to take advantage of the multiple hotter sparks the MSD provides. Ive toyed with everywhere between .035 and .060 on the plug gap...mine seems to run best/gets the best mileage between .045-.050. (Right now i have them at .050) -Aaron |

I have a Holley 390 cfm with the adjustable rear metering block. a a 436 lift MP cam, as far as ignition its a stock replacement distributor from MP the box and wiring are still there in case i ever have to do a quick change on the road. MSD Blaster 2 coil. Autolite spark plug wires. I burned some of the MSD wires on my 440 so im gonna lop em to fit my slant and buy new Taylors for the big block. As far as the plugs go, i run the Splitfires, she seems to love em. I gotta get in there today and re-gap the plugs, check em out and adjust my jets accordingly, this weekend i gotta re-adjust my lash on the valves and look into cleaning up the wires. for you fellas that installed the MSD, did you disconnect the ballast resistor and zap 12v to the coil? my buddy told me i should get rid of that turd and run it 12v. nice pics. very nice looking car & slant. My truck never had a ballast resistor (lean burn). Ive never checked the voltage but the msd connects the the "old" coil positive which goes straight to the ignition switch, so it should be getting 12 V. Been almost two years, no problems yet. -Aa |
