Post subject:  2013 Predictions... :-)

I'll get this party started for 2013... :D

Post your predictions for the 2013 Slant 6 Racing Series here!

1. The Traveling Trophy will makes its way back East of the Mississippi this year.

2. There will also bee at least 2 Killer Bees that will fly East and race with the East Coasters this year.

3. The Rookie count for this year will be at least 20.

4. There will be new and re-set records this year in the following categories:

AA/G or AA/A - Team Green with the "Green Grenade"

"Tyrde-Browne" Racing may get their RED together for one of the AA Class records too.

A/G will be re-set by yours truly at Clay City. (Yeah,... Right!! )

A/S will be re-set by Will Burns with his new wicked turbo set up! He showed a glimpse of its potential at Mason-Dixon in 2012.

B/A will be re-set by the Team Green Lancer driven by Rookie Rusty Heisten. (Pretty cool to have a Rookie re-set a record :D )

C/A 1/4 mile will be re-set by its current owner Jason Davis and they'll go ahead and claim the open 1/8 mile record just for good measure. That new billet head motor will drop them into the 10's. (I called Howard yesterday... )

D/G will be re-set by current owner PJ Jesiolowski either West or East of the Mississippi,... Maybe both! :D

D/S will be re-set by current owner Lou Madsen as he continues to refine his turbo Dart.

And lastly,... Someone will burn a little alcohol in a heavy car to claim the open D/A record.

5. Cookie ain't gonna have nuthin' together to race this year neither, so Mater's just gonna go racin' without him... :(

6. Bagel (Cookie's mentor) won't have the "Day Tuna" ready this year either, but he'll smack talk enough on the forum to make up for it.

7. There will be as many as 3 racers return this year that have been absent in recent years. (maybe 5 if Ron Hamby can twist enough arms to support the Dale Rose Memorial Races at Farmington and North Wilkesboro in June  )

8. One (or both  ) of the Mason-Dixon races will have the highest car count of the year.

Next...? :D

Mark - I hope you'll have your car back together and racing this year regardless of records.

Richard - I had seen some recent progress updates on your RED, but had missed any on CJ's FED... My Bad. I was hoping you'd make it for 2013.

Rick - Good thing you didn't say, "... at least 2 rounds IN A ROW without a red light." (You'd hate to have to "eat your hat" over that. )

No other predictions from anyone!? :(

Is it just me, or has there been a noticeable decline in "Trash Talk" the last several months...? :?

I predict I am very close to selling every piece of crap that I own to buy a V-code '70 Roadrunner I am looking at. Plum Crazy, Air Grabber, stick, Dana.

For some reason I do not care if I ever go down a race track again.

One bike is already sold, supposed to have a deposit on my other one this week. Yellow truck is next. :D

Last sentence of third line: How much?

I predict that either DadTruck or wvenable (or his offspring) will run at least one Slant 6 race round this year. Maybe I am a dreamer, but I'll say it's >50% that both of them will.

I predict that my '64 Dart will reappear on racetracks this year, including possibly one Slant 6 race. I will run Slant 6 rounds in at least 3 different cars this year, maybe 4.

Let me think about more...

Well I don't have to retire! I ran 7 runs and didn't redlight all weekend. I ran 5 .0XX lights except for the 2 that counted. Then I ran .140-.168! Go figure. Still had a great time.
