I am heading off to spend the weekend with Mike at Earlville, IA. He will be racing the Diplomat at Tri-State. Hopefully I bring him better luck than last time. When Bill and I went to see him at Cordova he went dead-on with a 0 in the first round and got beat.

I'll check the trailer and remove all ropes and sharp objects just to make sure.

Mike sends his regards Lou. :D

First time run was a 14:49@90. 1.005 under the index. Mike has to be careful, if he does it again he gets a present from the NHRA at Christmas.

2nd pass Mike went .99 under. Perfect.

Haven't seen the new ladder, but Mike was #3 after Rd. 1.

Done for today, one time run in the morning and First round tomorrow afternoon.

Roger (GT225) stopped by this morning with some friends of his. Nice talking to you all. :D

Is there a "magic" number of 1.000 under the index that triggers a change? This whole stock racing thing seems to complicated for me follow.

Rick, it is really simple. You are safe at .999 under. 1.0-1.19 under twice in a season will get a review. 1.20 or farther under once gets horsepower added the Monday after the race.

The cars are factored by horsepower rating times factory shipping weight plus 170# for a driver.

Right now Mike's Mikes factor is 22# per horsepower. If he gets horsepower added he has to add 22# for every hp he gets.

See? I told you it was simple.

Waiting now for the first round. Looks like we will run 5:30ish.

Rick don't worry you are not the only one who is "simple". :?
