figured i should just make a seperate thread for this instead of filling up that trigger options thread,

so far so good anyway, -8 rail made, and bungs in manifold done.

they are just the dummy fit injectors, i have some EV6 style injectors to go in there when i drill and tap the rail ends and actually plumb it all up to fuel

still investigating in tank fuel pump to keep it all neat, going to run dead head with the 4 bar filter/reg combo that i have used in my past 2 LS swaps, again keeping it nice and simple.

Thanks, i am going to use a TB off a EL/EF falcon (4L 6 motor),
which is 64mm, and has IAC bolted to the side,

will need to make up an adapter for it, the only slightly painful part will be making the kickdown for the BW35 auto work with it, but i'll make it happen one way or another.

Looks good. Just a thought- if you are going to use an original style exhaust manifold, you'll want a seriously effective insulating plate between the intake & exhaust (headers are a better choice.) With MPFI the intake is now "dry", you no longer have vaporizing gasoline to absorb heat from the intake manifold.

My first EFI build used a modified OE exhaust manifold which caused very high intake temps, detonation, loss of power, etc.

i milled the bottom off the intake manifold, and installed a blank off plate on the exhaust when i installed it, should be good enough for now

how did you go tuning wise with runner length difference of 1/6 being a bit longer than the rest?

I was running a DIY GM-Buick sequential EFI- since "burning" a chip is the only way to do any custom tuning (other than physical base timing offset), I didn't worry about it & let the knock sensor take care of things.

I guess with the programmable systems out now you could do cylinder to cylinder mixture/ ignition tuning, but I'd imagine you'd want individual EGT on each manifold runner to be able to quantify the results of each adjustment.

Hope your manifold project works out- I had a 2mm stainless block off plate between my manifolds but that didn't seem to stop direct heat transfer at all. At the least consider rigging a temporary thermocouple to the intake near the TB & see what temps you're reaching while on the road.

been a long time but i have made a bit of progress here, cut and shut the fuel tank to take an in tank EFI pump setup from an early 90's ford ute here in aust, ran 3/8 alloy line from front to rear with bulkhead fittings and small brackets, and -6 lines from those to rail/filter reg, using a corvette combo filter regulator, everything checks out so far, made the throttle body adaptor, and just tonight got the throttle cable and kickdown both sorted out and functioning,
i had not planned to but i also made a J pipe and turbo'd it as well, should get it fired up by the end of the week with any luck, not much left to do, i'll attach a few pics of where im at

Now that you mention it, most of the bits are, was mainly just that I had the bit's laying around from other projects or mates had bits laying around, the turbo is rx7 series 5 Hitachi ht18s, not sure how well it will work but ill find out soon; )

Cheers, yep ill take a vid no probs once I get iT cranking.

And the radiator fan is from a VL commodore, just machined up a spigot adaptor and redrilled to suit the slant pump bolt spacing
Also run a VL commodore radiator
