Greetings all!

I've been doing as much research as I can on the topic, and on the surface it seems like the project will be fairly straightforward. I am building a Turbo engine for the 63 Valiant, and the engine currently in the Valiant will be pulled, get the head shaved, a lumpy cam installed, with Holley 2300 (currently on the engine).

I want to put the N/A engine in my 58 Plaza, where a 360 and 727 currently reside. I do know the Forward Look cars (55 to 61-ish) were designed to handle the flat six, and in 1960, they came with the Slant. The question I have; is all I need to do to mount the slant in the Plaza is purchase engine mounts designed for the 1960 Dart with Slant 6? I haven't seen documentation anywhere which would indicate that the frame or mounts on the frame are any different between 6 and V8 cars.

The next step would be finding the correct transmission cross member. I already have an A230 with floor shift, which I plan to install. It seems that any cross member from the 6 cylinder manual trans FL cars should bolt in and be basically in the correct location. This car was originally a flat 6 with 3 speed, so I have the clutch pedal already mounted under the dash. I removed the 3 speed shift mechanism from the column when I replaced the steering box.

Thoughts? It would be kind of neat to have the only slant 6 1958 Plymouth in the world... at least so far as I know. Yes, I am aware that the "V" on the grille is for V8 cars, but this is a hod podge anyways, so I don't care.

Here's the car:

I always like something different when mods are made.

when I was in high school, Junior and Senior year, this would have been 1969-1970

I worked at a grocery store that had a busy home delivery business, they delivered to the
rich, that could afford delivery and the home bound, that having groceries delivered was the
only way they ate.

the car the grocer supplied for me to drive was a 1958-1959 Plymouth stationwagon, I wish I had paid more attention to the
car, The front end looked much like what is shown in the previous post. I remember the car had good power
and just sucked gas,,That was pre OPEC embargo days,,,

Haha, if you had any idea what that stupid "V" goes for, you'd likely not actually want to follow through!

I did think about changing the front logo to something slant related, but that V just looks at home!

I love this car, even though it's a mess. :D
