Hi guys ...

70 dart swinger 225 w/904

So was a non power brake car .. I went to disk up front and i used a 73 brake valve and the booster and master from a 74 V8 car

Here is the problem .. the peddle is low and the brakes come in very late...
I have adjusted the push rod tip at no gap and again at .30.. bleed the brakes many times .. but the brakes still come late ..

The booster and master are new

is the booster for an V8 need more vacuum than one for a /6
listed on rock auto the booster part# is the same for an V8 and /6

Nope don't need any more vacuum regardless of what engine. The brake valve came from a 73 what? With power or manual brakes? Drum or disc? Hoes the adjustment on the star wheels out back? Everything plumbed right? Lines reversed on master?

the brass is new and correct .. power Disk / Drum
star adjusted tell they drag just a touch
master is plumed correctly ..
when i built the car it got all new lines as well .. hard and soft..

after building Mopars for years ... this is the first one to do this ..

If I recall right, the power brake cars used a smaller diameter master cylinder, which normally gives you a softer pedal with more travel, seemingly the opposite of what you'd want when adding a brake booster. To make up for this they also used a different brake pedal linkage with less mechanical advantage. So if you installed a power brake master cylinder in a car with original manual brakes, you will have the wrong pedal ratio and a very soft brake pedal.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-72-Mopar- ... 4053111555 May be some thing like this. Now this stuff is just to get your research project started. Not recommendations .Why not take booster off, then see about pedal height.
