I'm looking at Hotchkis' #22385F solid 1/4" weighing 22.5 lbs with a 477# rate, and #2255F 1 3/8" hollow bar weighing 16.4 pounds with 567# rate. I'm thinking 22385F would be suitable for a cruiser over the stiffer bar.

Both these bars connect to lower control arm and K member kit supplied weld on brackets which allow proper articulation of end links at 90 degrees which seem to me to be a much better arrangement than currently installed Addco bar.

Addco bar's links never aligned at right angles, at extreme suspension movement interfered with lower ball joint attachment bolts, and has been a squeaking annoyance since 2008.

I don't believe Hotchkis sells a solid front bar.

Whats it going on? I can probably help.

Every Addco bar I had I reworked all the mounts. What are you trying to achieve with the car and what does it weigh? I have no personal experience w/Hotchkis bars. I bought a tubular Hellwig bar ~5 yrs ago for my 68 Dart that worked well, although I did tweak the mounts on that too. Firmfeel bars seem to have the most "bolt up" mounts I have seen/used personally. Great guys too. Again, I have no experience w/Hotchkis bars... I can say that the Hotchkis rear leafs and single-adjustable shocks are primo.

Summit site is wrong. 2255 will not fit your car. That is a B/E body bar.
22385F is the A Body bar.

The Hotchkis stuff is the best performing system on the market. I have a TVS on all 4 of my cars.

Just for the record I reworked the Addco mounts in 2008, even added a few zirks, but did not help quiet the thing down. Like I said it ain't right, and has squeaked since day one. During top down driving, which is 98% of the time, we don't need no stinking squeaking.

The softer 22385F is the bar I thought perhaps is better fit for a cruising machine. I just as soon weld the mounts, as the bolt on stuff I have had for 12 years is a compromise. Factory mounting locations will probably work out better.

I have FF 0.940" torsion bars, and 6 lief stock crown rear springs, no rear bar.

Thanks for the tip on the 2255 bar not fitting.

No worries. I was an R&D driver for Hotchkis from 2010-2018, so I have a rafter full of different bars as we tuned them in fo rall the different Mopar chassis.

Bar has been ordered from Summit with free shipping, however it is out of stock; expected delivery Sep 9.

Sounds about right. Unfortunately Hotchkis manufactures their sway bars and springs out of Southern CA. Everything else is fabricated in NC now.
The CA locations have been locked out of the shops due to COVID restrictions.

Update; Summit messaged that the bar will arrive on Aug 18... 22 days sooner than first predicted. Its coming from Texas.

It's Tue 18, 2020, 11 am eastern time, and the bar has arrived via UPS. The attachment hardware is rugged compared to what is holding the Addco bar of which are factory stile "D" bushings to "K" member.

Looks like I have a rainy afternoon project.

Finally got the bar installed. Too many distractions, including a half day wrenching on my buddy's 1950 Marl VI Bentley.

Car is much more quiet almost no squeaks and groans coming from the front end now. QA-1 upper control arms make a soft groan occasionally. I also think the car tracks better, it feels different to the good.

Now I have to figure out how to remount the center radiator to K member brace. That 1 1/2" bar takes up a lot of room and is tucked tightly to leading edge of K Member.

Bend the rad brace bar around the sway bar.. you might have to do some cutting / welding to insert more material.
