Post subject:  Source for D150 Sway Bar Link to Strut Rod Bushing

Hello,

I recently Picked up a Factory Sway Bar for my '77 D truck.
('75-'93) Should be the same or similar design in this area.

I am looking for a source that can supply the Stabilizer bar to strut rod bushing rubber.

They are a rubber donut, with a metal bracket that encases the rubber to the strut bar.

2WD are not the same as 4WD.

I have a 2WD.
Can post a picture / factory part # if it's helpful.

Greg,
very similar post at FABO with photos

https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/th ... 1973700663

I have a front stabilizer bar on the D150, found it at a pull a part on a D 250 Camper special, years ago when I re built the 83 D150.

I found a bushing that fit through one of the after market urethane cab mount or after market sway bar suppliers. I remember having to split the bushing to get it around the bar. The two piece brackets fully encase the bushing and it had not been a problem. The threaded rod that is attached to the bracket was rusted real bad on the set I found. I drilled out what was left of the stud, and inserted a bolt of similar length and diameter to what it would have been new, welded it in place then ground the bolt head down some. It has held up fine for 10 + years

Do you happen to have a part # for that bushing you used?

Too many years ago for a part number, but it should be a common ID and OD, I do remember splitting the bushing to get it on and remember to get the OD a bit oversize to allow for some compression.
Looking at the sway bar today for the photos, the center link bushings and collars are obviously some current aftermarket pieces.
I had the sway bar powder coated and it has held up well.

Autozone shows both the bar bushings and the end link bushings since you didn't specify D100, D150 or D200 I compared and they all show the same bushings. FA1208 is the bar bushings shows to be a package of 2 for $8.99. The end link bushings require 2 of part number SL97 and are $6.99 each. Most likely you won't find them in a store so you may want to order them online. And they are life time warranty.

I saw the same sort of thing, via Ebay. but nobody had the metal parts that clamp around the strut rods to hold the links, just the bushings themselves.

Thanks Brian,

Those FA1028's are not what I am looking for...

Those are the sway bar to Frame Bushing.
Thanks for looking .. and those are readily available..

I am looking for the bushing from the sway bar end link to the Strut rod.. It's different bushing than the one you shared.
