hi and hello: Just found out the GOODSON ST-437 tool for removing wheel studs on a 9 in drum is no longer available. Anybody know where I can get one? I need to replace a single wheel stud on a 9 in drum for a 1968 DODGE DART 270/SL-6 all original. A cute car w/o muscle power but a fun car to enjoy at car shows. Thx....great forum. Long live SL-6 and MOPAR. _________________ "1968 Dodge Darts forever" |

I have read that a 5/8 metal cutting hole saw minus the pilot bit will do the job. A word of caution do not try to press out the studs without cutting off the swedge or you will ruin your front hubs. I actually had a well-known machine shop do this to my original spindles in the mid 80s so I know first-hand. |

The last ones I changed, I simple cut off the stud close to the swage, and then drilled series of holes till I was close to the size of the hole. Take a round punch and gave it a wack or two and they came right out. Just make sure the first hole is pretty well centered. Worked fine for me. |
