Has anyone successfully removed one of these rubber bushings from the throttle linkage, without destroying it? They are hard to come by....

You grab the body of the bushing with a big pair of pliers, and pull it so the flanged head pops inward through its hole…done. Easy-peay, lemon-squeezy.

The bigger question is what you are going to do with this U-shaped piece of metal with the bushing in it. It's not meant to be a separate item like this; it's part of the carb's throttle shaft. Is there some spot-welding in your future?

Oh, and the bushing is available as a new part.

yes I had intended to try to spot weld this bracket to another carb (which had a different linkage type, but well, that didn't work out..lol, the linkage was just too different to make it workl.
