Did both triumph and Chrysler corp go shopping out of the same wheel cover supplier in the 60's & '70's? |

Thanks, Dennis, I would like to go down the rabbit hole a bit more on this, however. Was Triumph part of the Rootes group when Chrysler acquired them? I know virtually nothing about British cars. |

Chrysler and really all the major car companies bought a lot of stuff "off the shelf". No clue if Chrysler ever owned Triumph. British cars are a good way to go bankrupt. Bill has his Dad's 1954 MG TC. it's been stored inside, but hasn't run for 30 years. We went to a British car meet and inquired about a mechanical rebuild, no paint or interior work. We were told $30K, but it would only be worth $18K when done. Like older American cars from the 30s-50s the interest is dying off with age. |
