Sorry to hear. Condolences to his family.
I also met him at Mason Dixon. Also sold him one of my pushbutton 904 setups.

Stan, how do you find this stuff? Ron was a good friend and supporter of all things slant 6. He used to have half a 60 Valiant sticking out of the side of his garage, not to mention 2 early A bodies with hyper pak motors. I stopped to see him when I traveled to Maine to pick up my friend who had hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2022. One time when we were all staying in the Red Roof Inn in Hagerstown he was going to take us somewhere to eat in his truck. We must have taken a wrong turn somewhere because we drove around uninhabited countryside for over an hour, finally finding our way back to the motel and wound up eating at the Waffle House across the street.

Dear Slant Sixers,

Thanks very much for finding and posting this info. Ron was an inspiration to many. I met him and some of his sons and grandsons at MD dragway I think 3 times over the years. Kudos and thanks to Ron and his family for making the long trip to MD to race with us all and share stories. He was a dedicated Slant 6 racer, an inspiring weirdo like a true Slant 6er, and clearly a very fun-loving guy. I love the drag tribute and obit! I hope I make (or have made) as many bad decisions as Ron did.

Warmest wishes to the Heath family and to all who knew Ron...

I sold Ron my 340 blowproof, adapter plate, flywheel, clutch and starter right after we met at Mason Dixson.
I don't think he liked all the extra weight so he sold it back to Will.
I got all the parts back from Will because he doesn't know how to use 3 pedals.
(Just Kidding Will)
So My parts went full circle and I have a small, very small, connection with Ron.
I liked Ron right from the start, Lancer, Hyper Pak, and a great personality.
Not much to dislike.

Rest In Peace.

Yes I liked Ron as well.

I just wanted to make sure that those parts didn't get lost before you needed them!
