If it is a sweet smell/taste, then yes, it is likely a heater core failure.
Otherwise, someone punk'd you by putting a self-emitting vape pen in your HVAC of the truck
Does your truck have Air conditioning?

Hey guys has anyone had a problem ever with smoke coming through the vents? on a dodge d150? I have a 1982. And I was driving and then all of a sudden white smoke started coming out of my vents with my fan and everything completely off, not constantly but on an off while driving. What could be the problem? Could it be a broken heater core? |

No, my truck does not have air conditioning.And i've had it for 3 years now only i drive it, and I just took the vacuum hose off of the valve that let's the hot coolant into the heater core cuz I dont drive it in the winter anywyas so ya dont need heat anywyas so I think that'll fix the problem |
