It's not ready, but it's going! I think Seymour is coming down from the frozen north. I am picking some Dart Lite parts after the show. |

Sounds like great fun! Have a nice time and say hi to Seymour for me. I need to shoot him a call because I'll be up in said frozen north around early Jan... Best, Lou |

Back from Tulsa. Long day on the road. 750 Miles, left at 3 AM in the driveway at 11 PM I left Tulsa and drove to Miami to trade out some Lite parts. I got a much cleaner hood, trunk lid, front bumper and a parts dash board. Left Dale my much "Patinaed" same parts so he still has a semi complete Lite. Dale Riley in OK has a Lite project car if anyone wants one, CHEAP. Tulsa: Saw Seymour, Rusty, Shawn, Mark at the show/race. I just entered the Test N Tune because I wanted to run the quarter with the Colt. Made 2 runs before I had to get going up the road. First run I was having some carb issues and the RPM was sky high after the burnout. I went ahead and staged and then ran it through the quarter. Fastest ever for me in a slant car and it felt real solid and stable at the top end. ET was off, but room for improvement for sure. It ran a 13.29 at 107.7 MPH. You can see and hear the clutch tamer slipping the clutch so it is working. On the second run I missed 3rd somehow, beats me. Driver error. Seymour stayed for while, he doesn't let moss grow under his feet, and then he headed home. I told him everyone said HI.

That is a really good MPH Stan! My 12.70 run was only 105 MPH. You are getting there! |

Very cool, Stan! Glad the MPH is coming up and ET coming down. You should be good for 11s or at least low 12s with some more work. When I raced Ron Hamby at Clay City around 2018 in my 68 w/turbo, we ran identical MPH (107. Lou |

It went in the trailer under it's own power, it was a good day. |

It did go back in like it came out. I was happy with the MPH, not the ET or 60 foot. I was running my 2.66 first gear trans and it really needs the 3.09 to go back in this winter. I also need more compression, at least a point or a point and a half. I am only at 10.5 now. I have to rebuild the Dart Lite engine this winter, so I might be building 2 at the same time. |

Is your 2.66 transmission and Faceplated liberty as well? |

Yes it is Rick. Both are in Aluminum cases. Steel Bushed Countershaft supports. The only difference is that the 2.66 has a synchronizer ring on the first gear. I did that to save a few bucks on the build. |

I've got a 12-1/2:1 aluminum rod shortblock you could get fairly cheap. |
