What do you guys think about the adapters that change your bolt pattern from 4" to 4.5"? How safe are these? How much will they affect my backspacing if i switch over to the large bolt pattern? Can i take up the slack with a spacer or something? Does anyone have experience with these?

I've got a set out in the garage that were on the front of a low-11 second big block Demon for over 10 years. They never broke. Check the lug nuts occasionally (both spacer and wheel) and don't drive like a dummy and you'll be OK.

Yes, they will affect wheel spacing by about 3/4".

it sounds like your car was mainly for straight lines. What if the road gets a little twisty and i wanna go fast? Would i have to worry about something breaking then? Does that qualify as driving like a dummy with wheel adapters?

If your going to drive the snot out of your car, personally, I wouldn't trust them. If you want big bolt pattern, convert.
