| Post subject: | Oversize ralley rims? |
Was there ever a 6" or 7" wide, 15" small pattern ralley or would somethin like this be a custom job. The 7" ones have a 4.25" backspace, the 6" have a little less than 4". My stock steel 14" rims are about 5" wide I think, but I would like the ralley look for the car. It sounds like they would nicely fill the wheel wells on my 72 Swinger (small pattern). I'd like to know before I pull the wallet out. Any one heard of these? |

I think that the biggest small bolt was a 14x6 and that was a standard steel wheel ,far as I know the sb ralleyes only came in one flavor-14x5.5. Dont despair though, because Wheelvintiques and StocktonWheels both have 14 and 15 inch rallys in whatever backspacing and width you need up to 10 inchs wide for about 100 bux apeice.Hope this helps. Thanks Hyper; I just jacked up the car and pulled off the right rear. The wheel, stock steel with 205/70R 14, was a little snug to get out of the well. Makes me wonder how a 7" rim with tire is goin to fit in there to even get it mounted? |

I heard a rumor that 67 Chargers had SBP (4") x 15" wheels. Anybody else heard this wild tale? Mike |

Not true. Small bolt pattern wheels were never used on anything but A-bodies. 14 X6 (I think) was the largest one produced. They were NEVER produced in a 15" size. Only 13 and 14. |
