I have no idea what has possessed me to do so, but I am going ahead with the plan for putting a 4 speed in the Duster. A buddy of mine has given me an 833 out of a 340 Swinger, and I just bought a set of pedals from a guy on Moparts. The Green guys down in Carthage are making me an adapter plate to put in a 340 scattershield, and Patrick has the rest of the stuff laying around from his Barracuda. I think I have officially lost every last hint of any marbles that I did have, especially when I am sponsored by a guy who builds automatic transmissions. Buildin' a faster Possum dawg. |

You aint got a chance bagel swaping cogs against me unless you can run with in a 1/100 of your dial in every time. Put the car on a 7.89 and run 7.90 all the way to the final. Guess who won bagel yep 7.90 with a 516 light Dont give a gunslinger an edge or you will get beat. Ps next year we are going after them Drakes and Bagels . Hmm sounds like a good menu to me. talk about bringing a knife to a gun fight bagel dont bring a boxing glove to a gun fight |

I don't have to worry about you Possum. I'll be fast enough to be on the same side of the ladder as you, and you're always gone by the 2nd round anyway. |

Ron's not "always gone by the second round" from what I've seen. I think you need to check some back issues of SSRN there Bagel. I don't think Otto keeps track records there in Paradise, but I'd bet Ron has been one of the last ones standing more often than not. Rob |

Rob Bagel would not no competion if it flew up and hit him in his rearend. Bagel knows what faces him and he wants to spool up that mouth. Bagel knows who i race against the best slant racers in the nation. If he thinks not show up somewhere in 2004. I would rather be national champion than track champion. bagels arent bad if you put some duck sauce on them |

Most of the regular footbrake cars at Paradise Dragstrip know me and the Slanted Attitude Dart and they know who will be first in line in lane five every weekend. Otto dont keep records of who wins the most races but you can call him 706-629 6161 and ask him if i ever win. PS i am the 2000 Slant Six Racing News National Champion, what did you do go brain dead. bagel going to a gear box i am going after delay box |

Glad to here your going to a 4-Speed ,Dennis. As I gather parts for my valiant I have always known it would be a 4-speed. Crazy ? Maybe? Fun? Oh Yeah!!!! About the adapter. Do you know the approx. cost of the plate? And if they would make any more ? Someone else was supposed to be working on one but I haven't heard anymore about it for a long time. Thanks Rick |

Rick, right now I do not have a set price on the plate. I figgered that if I had to ask, I couldn't afford it anyway. Thanks Rick |

I have rowed a four speed for many years, just remember that its a little tough getting into 2nd, dont miss the gate for 2-3 and once you get to 4th the show is over. |
