How many guys would be interested in a one day only points race at the Piedmont Mopar clubs annual Mopar show and Race. It is held at Farmington Dragway in NC.
Spoke with Seymour and he like the idea but wants to see some feedback on how many racers would be interested. Right now it falls two weeks after one race and two weeks before Columbus.

It would be a points race only right now. I can not promise any purse but you would have the option of racing in their normal bracket race. Maybe by May I could swing some $$$. The track is usually open on Friday night for test n tune.

The club is very interested in having us. I had talked with them last year but it fell on the same weekend as Joplin so I passed. If you talk to a slant 6 racer not on the internet talk to them about it and see what they think.

Just give me a yes or no and make sure I know who you are... :D .

They are printing their flyer up the first week in Feb and will be mailing it out to over 5000 mopar show and race participants. Seymour plans to discuss this at Gatlinburg but wanted me to get the ball rolling on here!

Ooh! That's Mother's day weekend and my son's birthday.
NC is close to Georgia though. :?
Any racing I can get in before I leave the better.

Selfishly I would be there, but when that Friday rolls around and I'm getting the "Sure honey, go and have fun..." thing with the hidden meaning of "You really suck for going and you're gonna pay for months this time"...

I think I'll have to pass.

Rob

Well, that would be the closest race to me, so it sounds great! I can't think of anything planned for that weekend, so I'm pretty definite on that one.

This Mopar race, car show, and swap meet at Farmington sponsered by and the Piedmont Mopar club is well attended and well run. They put on a great show every year. The track has just had extensive work done to make it one of the top venues around. Count me in.

It is 1/8 mile.

Here is a link to the track.

Ron H. - Do you think your two friends that showed up a Wilkeboro would attend?

I think I could get the baddest footbraking slant 6 racer around here, Mr. Eugene Ross to show up since he races there regularly. Also Myk Patterson also run there on occasion so there is another possibility.

Tom i think Rodney Hargis is the baddest slant 6 footbrake racer around. Just what has Mr Ross won in our series. But if that is what you think then you will have the two badest slant 6 racers there. Ron Hamby the badest slant six racer period ,and Rodney Hargis the badest footbrake racer there. I think me and Rodney could enertain Mr Ross. Thanks Ron Parker :D :D

i dont need a computer to make desicions for me. Im a Racer

What do the last three post have to do with the topic? Nothing!

I would make it even if I had to bring the 4dr. Hopefully the race car will be ready some time this year.

Just spoke with the club running the show and they are excited to have us! We are replacing the KOS shootout since their club seems to have disbanded. I did not promise him KOS kind of ET's but did tell him we would put on one heck of bracket race for him.

I will start a thread for this in the event section to keep everyone posted on what is going on.
