i have a 1976 dodge dart 4 door with 193000 on the near origional car. my suspension is begining to show the miles. at this point i need all new bushings, new tortion bars, new leaf springs and a new steering box. what i need to know is: 1.what is the legenth of the tortion bars 2.where can i get the bushings for a decent price 3.has anyone used those 3 inch lift springs that jc whitneys sells 4.is there a adjustment on the manual steering box to deal with the play in the steering wheel (my steering wheel has about 2 inches of play) 5.if there is no adjustment where can i get a rebuilt box. thanks in advance for any help Jeremiah |

1- all a-body t-bars measure 35.75" long. 2- depends on what bushings/ball joints you want to use. I highly suggest Moog or McQuay/Norris. if you're rebuilding the whole deal, you may want to consider a whole package from somebody like PST. Ultimately, your final decision will be based around what the application of the car is. In my instance, i hand picked the suspension components from a variety of suppliers. search the internet. firm feel and parts america are your friend! 3-nope 4- yes there is an adjustment for the steering box. however, your susupension may just be so clapped out that no amount of adjustment will help. rebuild everything, and then set the box to spec. RTFSM and you should be ready to rock n roll. 5- firm feel sells 24, 20 and 16:1 boxes, i believe that steer and gear does as well-- but i can't vouch for their level of quality. flaming river just introduced their new 16:1 box, the initial reports are good. good luck homey! -JYH |

thank you for the help. i have been looking at the bushings and would like to know what is the difference between polyurathane and urathane? and also how good is energy suspensions bushings |

#3 if there the same "leafspring helpers" that NAPA sells,They just lifted my buddies saggy 65 coronet's rear approx. 3 inches.....Easy bolt on...... |
