Cool!.. Don't know if the Valiant (Wife named it Scooter) will be ready for the trip by then. Haven't had the home made driveshaft up to freeway speeds yet, I'm afraid it might shake like a hound dog crapping peach seeds. If it passes the test tonight, I'll try to make it Sat. I'll have to keep the windows open so I don't pass out from the fumes comming from the holes in the trans tunnel...

John Z has pushed the Slant meeting back to Sunday at 10 AM at the same Carrow's in Santa Monica. There will almost certainly be rain on Saturday. I am pretty sure I can still be there, and I hope others can make it too. Still check this site and/or <A HREF="http://www.slantsix.com">www.slantsix.com</A> (Club Sched) before you head down on Sunday just in case.

Thanks for the update.. I'll see if I can make it. Doubt it at this point. Got the car on the road, 5speed works great, my home made drive shaft doesn't shake (only tested up to 50mph).. The only part that I actually dropped good money for, the mcleod hydro TO bearing, squeaks on occasion, and developped another leak last night. All the parts I hacked together work perfectly, but the one I spent good money on so I wouln't have to worry is causing all the problems. I got called out to work today, so I'm not sure when I'll get apart and see whats wrong.. Maybe I'll just have to drive down in something else and BS with you guys..
