Post subject: 67 Ca Smog stuff

On my 67 Valiant there is some kind a Ca emissions pack that came with the car. There is a little Green thing (Green Weenie?) and a black vacuum block, which branches off vacuum hoses to different locations and other things. I hear that smog stuff actually decreases HP. is this true? If I want better performance should I disconnect this stuff? What do you think

I would remove it all. The '67 is no longer required to have smog checks in CA.
