Howdy,

Is there any problems with swapping a /6 from an auto to a stick? I've got a 1962 Valiant wagon stick with a dead engine. And I've got an engine sitting around from a 68/69 Dart. Only the Dart engine is hooked up to an 904. Is it just a straight swap?

I was thinking there was something about changing flywheels, but I can't remember.

To get the "later" 68 engine into the 62 you will need to use the 62's oil pan and pick-up tube and you will need the larger hole flywheel.

Your 62 should have the gear reduction starter, if it does not (60 & 61 had a direct drive starter) then you will need the more common gear reduction starter to go with that 68 and newer flywheel.
