Is there any use to put a 4bbl adaptor on a 2bbl intake and get any good results on a built engine, MP cam, big valves, head work, headers, electronic ignition ? And if so which carb would be suggested. I have an offy 4bbl manifold but its pretty ugly and thought the adaptor and carb would work or is this the wrong place to get cheap?

I have a clifford intake w/4 barrel adapter, and it doesn't look much different then stock 1barrel other then the center section. Is the offy intake that much different then the clifford?

In order to use any substantial modifications to your engine, you need to have the 4bbl intake. The 4X2 adapter and 2bbl manifold (at least the stock supersix) will not get you much (if any) better performance than a BBD carb.
