Hey Guys.....Got a problem here....hope you can help. My car is a 64 Valiant and I've got a "clicking" noise coming from my left front wheel area, kind of like the sound of a bad CV joint. I replaced the wheel bearings this weekend and that didnt fix it. I'm thinking it night be something in the steering, but I'm unsure. Its a little tough to diagnose. Wonder if you guys have any suggestions on what to check. When the car is jacked up and I spin the wheel manually.....no "click". But when Im driving...."click...click....click". Hmmmm?

What type of rims are you running on the front? The old aluminum slotted mags would sometimes develope a "clicking" sound, when the lug nut holes became slightly enlarged.

This may sound too easy but did you try driving the car with-out the wheel covers on? Sometime they will make a noise.

I think I MAY have figured it out......with the help of Kesteb's thought. I pulled the wheel off and one of the holes in the wheel looked a little "egged" out. Turns out the stud that hole was riding on is stripped and since the wheel wasnt cinched up to the drum there, the stud came loose of the drum (just a tiny bit)....but I think enough to make that annoying click clack racket. But, I havent got a useable drum to swap on there right now to make sure of it....so we'll see. Thanks for the help everyone. PS...see the engine section for my new annoyance...HAHA
