Heads-up everyone...
My computer at work got hit with a virus today, the kind that sends it's self to everyone in your address book.
If you get a personal email from me with an attachment, DELETE IT!
Whever you do, do Not open the attachment.

Earlier this week I was getting 5-6 e-mails a day that were "suspicious". All had attachments in the neighborhood of 200K. Deleted them all without opening. None from you Doug.

Looks like my work machine survived OK, we saw and "killed" the "bug" pretty quickly. (I was lucky that the company I.S. guy was walking by my desk when the bug hit.
The virus did "jump" to 4 other machines on our network. We spent 4 hours cleaning everything out. What a hassel.
Sounds like we kept it from getting back "outside" so that is good.
Who thinks-up and sends-out this crap? :? :x

I think alot of times, it's programmers, who want to test their knowledge. It's probably a badge of 'honor' amongst their hacker friends, attesting to their programming skills.

Truth be told it is usually a 15 year old kid that writes them. A bug/worm/virus/hack is one of the easiest pieces of software there is to create. That's why there are so bloody many of them.
